Tiger King antagonist, Carole Baskin will take over Joe Exotic’s GW Zoo, after winning a lawsuit against the Netflix documentary star’s mother on Tuesday.
Just when we thought it was all over, another plot twist has come to fruition in the most meme-worthy story of 2020. Carole Baskin has been granted control of Joe Exotic’s GW Exotic Zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
Unless you’ve been living with your head in the sand, you’ll be familiar with the hit Netflix documentary, Tiger King, of which you can read a review of here. It is perhaps the most ridiculous real-life story to be caught on camera and (spoiler alert) ended with the Tiger King himself, Joe Exotic, being sentenced to 22 years in prison for his foiled murder-for-hire plot.
The very woman that he tried to have killed, arch-nemesis Carole Baskin, has now been granted control over his run-down, GW Zoo, as reported by Fox 25. THAT BITCH!
The order was handed down by a federal judge in the western district court of Oklahoma, Scott Palk, who oversaw the lawsuit between Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue Corp. and Joe Exotic’s mother, Shirley Schreibvogel. The judge found that the land on which the zoo is located was fraudulently transferred by Exotic to his mother to avoid paying Baskin a settlement in a trademark infringement lawsuit.
As a result, all animals must be taken off of the 16 acre property and portable vehicles and properties must also be transferred to the Big Cat Rescue Corp. Furthermore, Jeff Lowe, who you’ll also remember as an undercut figure from the Tiger King docuseries and has been operating GW Zoo since Joe Exotic’s imprisonment, has been given 120 days to vacate the premises. It seems that at the end of the day, this epic rivalry has seen Baskin emerge as the big winner.
