It’s 2020, and you know what that means: social media feeds cluttered with selfies accompanied by #NewYearNewMe, a suddenly over-crowded cardio section at the gym, and ambitious lists of resolutions for the year ahead. Except 2020 isn’t just a new year, it’s a whole new DECADE, which means we’re allowed to be particularly enthusiastic about our resolutions for the next ten years. There’s never been a better time to set new goals for yourself than right now. 

We at Essential Millennial understand that it’s been a busy few weeks, and you may not have had time to compile a list of things to work towards as you step into this year, so we’ve done all the hard work for you. Here’s a list of 100 resolutions you can work towards to foster mental and physical wellbeing, better relationships, or just have a good old time in 2020.

  1. Drink 2 litres of water a day.
  2. Exercise daily.
  3. Start meditating.
  4. Start jogging.
  5. Learn a new language.

These are just a few ideas you can use to make short- and long-term changes to your life this year, or this decade. Choose the ones you like, adapt them to suit you, and follow through. Remember, your resolutions should be a commitment to yourself. We all want other people to commit to us, and keep their promises to us, but we often forget to commit to ourselves. See this as a way to treat yourself with the love and respect you deserve, and have fun with it. Happy new year everyone,
